Sonic Web Score

Gravity No. 1 (5-6’) is a transformative screen score for sound improvisation animated on a website for a solo instrument.

It is inspired by, and partly made of, material from the HerNoise Archive at London College of Communication, a layered work of graphic elements, collages and poetry, programmed by CSS/HTML coding. The swinging pendulum acts as a centre point. By oscillating, it transports a visual pattern for sound production. The work aspires to shift time and movement, change and transformation into a sonic world.

The compositoins aspires to connect interpreter and composer through the use of the world wide web. As an open accessible platform it is possible to send, collect and exhibit at the same place, to build a global soundscape through collaboration with people around the globe.
