Ouiouioui

voice performance

Ouiouioui is a site-specific performance for voice, electronics and movement. A mutli-layered episodic score and choreography interweaves improvised voice with digital processing. The voice is used as a source material, going from spoken word, singing and screaming to growling, stutters and whispers. Over the duration of the exhibition Ouiouioui continues to unfold, expressing daily renditions of the performance’s theme in response to the space and changing audiences. Through these responses the work questions the relationship between body and technology, voice and space, composer and performative interpretation.
