Whitespace

Performance / Installation

Whitespace aims to direct our attention to the space in-between, to make it real and tangible. The performance-installation is looking for a balance between the immense noise of the mountain stream and silent thoughts, between height and depth, between gigantic natural force and the vulnerability of the body, between here and there, arriving and departing. With a carpet, bench and pipe, a room on the foot bridge Punt Tulai is created. Below, a figure speaks and sings repeatedly in a hammock attached to the bridge. Visitors are invited to take off their shoes, to step barefoot on the carpet, sitting down, pause and listening to the stories and sounds through the tube.
